This is probably the single greatest area of struggle for me. Ironically, I believe few things more fervently. You&#039;ve reminded me to embrace a tactic of my friends in recovery &#039;just for today&#039;. Meaning, for just today, I can give up drinking/smoking/eating/shooting up - whatever. 

Quitting the desire to manage the false image of myself and everyone else&#039;s perception of me is the first step to recovery.

And I can do that, just for today.
