I think you summed that up very well Walter. Constant application of this mind set will in fact eliminate it. It does require one to be very in conscious of what we are thinking at all times, which is something we are not used to doing. It's weird actually, but makes a huge difference once we start doing so. :-)

Complaining is one of the negative habits of our mind we unconsciously abide. Before it sips all our energies we must catch it. You have pointed out the necessary actions one must follow to counter complains. It may be hard at first, but with constant application, mastery will be achieved. :-)

Well first things first Simon, lets get our priorities straight. Quitbit first, followed by life :-) I can definitely relate though to those days of doing work that just didn't seem to have any value. I'm not so sure I would do university again if I had a second go around. I had too many days like the one you are describing and looking back it didn't do anything to help influence the contribution I was making to the world.

BUSTED! I've already caught myself complaining too much about my prof yesterday along with some fellow class mates. Though I would like to think that my complaining is legitimate, I am guilty nonetheless.

To provide some insight on the issue, it is exam time and the prof has given us 1 week to analyze a 15 page (single space) case study and then write a 10 page paper on it with minimal to no instructions at all! I hope I can survive these following weeks so I can keep up to date with quitbit.

AHHHHHHHHHHH your blog has now become my new venting spot. Not that I'm looking for a solution to this problem (because some professors just want to make your life miserable and there's nothing you can do about it except to suck it up and deal with it) but it's good to get it out there.
